1 Dead, 2 Injured In GA 'Random' Shooting; Suspect ID'd: Reports

Police were searching Friday for the accused active shooter in Forest Park, per media reports.

FOREST PARK — The suspect accused in an active shooting that killed at least one person and injured two people Friday near Simpson and Old Jonesboro roads has been identified, Channel 2 Action News reported.

The outlet reported Victor Demetrious Baymon, 33, was named the suspect in the random shooting, citing Forest Park Police.

Both Channel 2 and 11Alive said police consider Baymon, who is at large, to be "armed and dangerous."

Fox 5 Atlanta reported Baymon was accused of going into a convenience store where his ex-girlfriend went to get her taxes done and shooting two people. He was then accused of driving to a nearby apartment complex and crashing into a building, the outlet reported.

Baymon was then accused of stealing a woman's car and driving to a construction site, where he was accused of shooting a construction worker, Fox 5 reported. The outlet added police said Baymon could be driving a gray Dodge Avenger.

Local city schools and buildings were locked down around 10:30 a.m. due to the shooting.
