$10K Reward In Case Of Missing CDC Employee

Timothy Cunningham is a graduate of Morehouse and Harvard and has worked on the Ebola and Zika outbreaks for the CDC.

ATLANTA, GA — A $10,000 reward is being offered in the case of a CDC employee who has been missing for nearly two weeks.

Timothy Cunningham, 35, called in sick to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, where he works as an epidemiologist, two Mondays ago. On Friday, Feb. 16, his parents contacted the Atlanta Police Department, saying he had been missing ever since and that his disappearance was unusual.

Cunningham's parents, who came down from Maryland, said they were able to get into his home on Harry Brooks Drive in Atlanta's Riverside neighborhood. They found his wallet and other personal belongings left behind, according to police spokesman Officer Donald Hannah.

Police announced over the weekend that Cunningham's family has partnered with Crime Stoppers of Greater Atlanta to offer a $10,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest and indictment in his disappearance.

"At this time we have found no evidence of foul play," Hannah said. "However, it is our practice to explore any and every possibility in a case such as this one."
