ATLANTA, GA — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.
Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. Together with Ring, we’re working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.

Reason for recognition: Kimberly Stone, Curator of Fish and Invertebrates at Georgia Aquarium, was moved to create a GoFundMe page for Kwan’s Korean Deli and Kitchen after they suffered significant damage from protests, in addition to COVID-19 hardships. $11K was raised!
One thing to know: Kimberly's fundraiser raised over $11K in support of this small business that has been frequented by Georgia Aquarium employees for years.
