$140K+ Raised For ATL Residents Displaced After 3-Alarm Blaze

See how to help the residents who were displaced due to a massive fire on Nov. 10 at the Reserve at LaVista Walk apartment complex.

ATLANTA — A three-alarm blaze destroyed the homes of 28 displaced residents at the Reserve at LaVista Walk apartment complex on Nov. 10.

Two people were accused of igniting fireworks on the building's roof and were charged with criminal damage to property and reckless conduct.

The tragic fire claimed the life of a cat, injured 17 people and displaced 28 residents. The building was evacuated for fire response.

Preparation for the massive blaze was minimal, with tenants previously telling Patch blaring fire alarms are a norm for LaVista Walk.

Since, several fundraisers have been established to help residents rebuild after the destructive fire. Per GoFundMe, at least $140,000 has collectively been raised to help residents affected by the fire.
