2 Arrested In Atlanta Driver's Shooting
The driver was shot in the head and lost control of his car, hitting a utility pole, a store front and then a pedestrian.

ATLANTA, GA — Atlanta Police have arrested two men in a June shooting in which a driver was shot in the head, causing him to lose control of his car and hit a utility pole, a store front and then a pedestrian.
Brandon Welch was arrested at a home in Decatur, police said Friday. Previously, Brandon Welch also was arrested in the case. Both men were born in 1991, according to police.
Welch is charged with aggravated assault in the shooting, which happened June 7 on Ralph David Abernathy Boulevard. Cain is charged with aggravated assault, aggravated battery, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Both are being held at Fulton County Jail.

After the shooting, which happened at about 9:48 p.m. according to police, both the driver and pedestrian were taken to Grady Memorial Hospital. The pedestrian had serious leg injuries, according to police, and the shooting victim was listed in critical but stable condition.
Investigators say the shooter confronted two people outside the Food Mart Grocery. After they went inside the store, the shooter pulled a firearm and shot several times in the direction of the street, hitting the driver, police said.
