6 Foot Alligator Spotted Again South Of Atlanta

A Peachtree City alligator that hasn't been seen in four years has been spotted again, according to authorities.

ATLANTA, GA — An alligator has returned from a long excursion. Four years later and a reported gator is back in Peachtree City, a little over 30 miles south of Atlanta.

Peachtree City Police Department spokesperson Chris Hyatt told The Citizen that the gator was reported to police on May 13 by someone who was in the brush by the bridge near the Wilshire Pavilion Shopping Center.

The Georgia Department of Natural resources is working on a way to trap and relocate the gator, the Citizen reports.

According to WSB, in 2016 a 6-foot gator was spotted by a truck driver in Flat Creek by the bridge along Ga. Highway 74 South.
