Jamie Foxx Recovering After Hospitalization In Atlanta
Corinne Foxx, his daughter, announced the news Wednesday evening in an Instagram post.
ATLANTA, GA — Jamie Foxx is recovering after being hospitalized for a "medical complication" Tuesday, his daughter, Corinne Foxx, said in a statement posted to Instagram Wednesday evening that was attributed to the Foxx family.
His recovery was credited to "quick action and great care," the post said. The nature of the medical complication was unclear.
"We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time," the post read.

A representative for Foxx told NBC News that the actor's condition was serious enough that some of his family came to the hospital from out of town.
"He is communicating now," the representative told the news channel.

Variety reported Foxx was in Atlanta filming a new Netflix movie, "Back in Action," co-starring Cameron Diaz.
The project will be his latest since the 2022 release of Netflix's "Day Shift." "Back in Action" will be Diaz's return to the big screen since 2014, when she starred in the "Annie" remake alongside Jamie Foxx.
According to IMDB, the movie is in post-production and was directed by Seth Gordon.
