After Gas Leak At Atlanta School Students Return
Students at Drew Charter Elementary School evacuated Wednesday morning after a natural gas leak was found.
ATLANTA, GA — After an evacuation at Drew Charter Elementary School Wednesday due to a natural gas leak, students have returned to the building, according to Atlanta Gas Light.
Crews identified a malfunctioning part on the natural gas meter located outside of the school as the source of the natural gas odor. Technicians completed repairs. No natural gas was detected inside the school.
According to WSB, the gas smell was noticed this morning outside of the school and students and staff were relocated to the Junior Senior gymnasium on the Junior Senior Academy Campus.
