Amazon Plans To Build New Warehouse In Newnan: Report
The new Amazon warehouse is expected to bring 500 jobs to the Atlanta area.
NEWNAN, GA — Online retail giant Amazon on Saturday announced it plans to open another new warehouse in the Atlanta area, a project expected to add 500 jobs, according to reports.
Amazon plans to construct a 1 million-square-foot building at the Cubes of Bridgeport site in Newnan, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. Employees of the facility will pack and ship orders for Amazon customers.
This is the second major Amazon project slated for the Atlanta area in the last year. The company is currently constructing its first robotics fulfillment center, a $238 million facility that straddles the Gwinnett-DeKalb County lines.
