APD Officer Found Unresponsive, Dies: Police
The officer was reportedly on his way to work when he was found unresponsive in his personal vehicle.

ATLANTA — An off-duty officer died Thursday night after he was found unresponsive in his personal vehicle at the Atlanta Police Annex, authorities said Friday.
Atlanta Police said Officer Kenya Galloway, 44, suffered an unknown medical emergency and was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital. He was later pronounced dead, police said.
Fox 5 reported Galloway was on his way to work from a second job.

Galloway has been with the APD since March 26, 2015 and was assigned to the department's Executive Protection Unit, police said.
An official cause of death has not been released.

Galloway is the third Georgia law-enforcement officer to die in the past week. Coweta County Deputy Sheriff Eric Minix died early Thursday when he was hit by a police car during a chase while Sgt. Marc McIntyre, with the Spalding County Sheriff's Office, died on Dec. 29 after being shot during a welfare check.
