ATL Police Shoot, Kill Suspect
A firearm that appeared to have been recently fired was found near the man, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

ATLANTA, GA — Atlanta Police shot and killed a man Sunday and a firearm that appeared to have been fired was found nearby, investigators say.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is looking into the shooting, which happened at about 4:37 a.m. on Metropolitan Parkway. They were responding to a call from family members who said Jeremiah Perdue, 33, had pointed a gun at them, the GBI said.
When they arrived, Perdue "(a)t some point ... was observed with a firearm and officers discharged their weapons, fatally striking Perdue," the GBI said in a news release.

Once the agency completes its investigation, information will be turned over to the Fulton County District Attorney for review.
