Atlanta Ad Club 2019 Award Winners Honored On Feb. 28
Five advertising professionals from markets outside the region served as judges for this year's competition.
ATLANTA, GA - From Atlanta Ad Club: The Atlanta market’s best in advertising will be honored on Thursday, Feb. 28, 2019 at Monday Night Garage at the Atlanta Ad Club’s 2019 American Advertising Awards celebration.
The annual ceremony recognizes the area’s outstanding advertising creative work from the previous year. The event begins at 6:30 p.m. with a cocktail networking reception, followed by an awards gala celebrating winners from the professional and student categories. The emcee for the evening is Jen O’Neill Smith, a nationally recognized stand-up comedian from Atlanta.
Five advertising professionals from markets outside the region served as judges for this year’s competition, including professionals from Apple, Leo Burnett and FCB Chicago. Judges selected winners from more than 400 online, broadcast and print entries from agencies, companies and individuals conducting business in the Atlanta market as well as more than 100 college student submissions.

Returning to this year’s program will be the American Advertising Federation’s prestigious Silver Medal Award. The recognition was established in 1959 to acknowledge men and women who have made outstanding contributions to advertising and who have been active in furthering the industry’s standards, creative excellence and responsibility in areas of social concern. The Silver Medal Award will this year be awarded to Brad Copeland, president and founder of ICON - a glocal brand design consultancy agency headquartered in Atlanta - whose 35 year career has made a profound impact on the advertising and creative industries.
Also returning this year is the Atlanta Ad Club Annual Scholarship Program. Six scholarships will be awarded to students currently enrolled in college, graduate school or portfolio school who applied to the program by showcasing their unique perspective on how to get into the world of advertising. Five $1,000 scholarships and one $5,000 will be awarded.

Advance tickets for the event range are $155 for members of the Atlanta Ad Club, $170 for non-members and $75 for students. VIP table seating is also available. Tickets may be purchased prior to the ceremony by visiting https://2019atlantaaddys.eventbrite.com.
The Atlanta competition is sponsored by the Atlanta Ad Club, a member association comprised of advertising and media professionals. Proceeds from the American Advertising Awards help support the Atlanta Ad Club’s mission to advance and enrich the Atlanta advertising community through educational programs, professional development and opportunities to showcase premier creative work.
