Atlanta Business Leader To Grant $5000 To Aspiring Entrepreneurs
Donald Williams, CEO of Suivant Consulting Has Launched The "Be Your Own Boss" Competition
Atlanta business dynamo, Donald Williams isn't new to being an entrepreneur. "I've started dozens of businesses, some have been successful and some haven't. The key ingredient has been mentorship, without it, your sure to fail" said Williams. Understanding this key element, Williams started Suivant Consulting, an Atlanta - based consulting group that works with clients nationwide. "Suivant grew out of a need that was occurring in my accounting practice, Williams Accounting and Consulting. My clients were always asking for advice on various business needs from start-up to exit plans, it was very organic" said Williams. While working with high net-worth clients has been the mainstay of his business, Williams has a passion for working with those who are new to business and start-up entrepreneurs. One of his newest clients, Dr. Jarrett L. Manning, is launching her new product line, Honey Envy, a new hair and skincare line for women. "This process has been exhilirating for me to work with a client who is just thinking about a concept to seeing the actual concept come to life and now headed into the hands of consumers, I want to see more of this" said Williams.
This month, Williams will launch a special opportunity where he will help 20 aspiring entrepreneurs go from idea to launch. The "2020 Be Your Own Boss"(a.k.a. B.Y.O.B.) will provide four-weeks of mentorship and coaching with Williams and several other business leaders who will help the chosen participants with operations, marketing, customer service and business development. The deadline for entry is February 29th. No matter what your background, stay at home mom, student, a seasoned corporate professional who wants to pivot or you bake cakes for family and friends, all are welcome to enter. "If you have ever dreamed of owning something of your own or maybe you're doing something out of your home, but not really have set it up as a business, I encourage you to enter" says Williams.
According to Guidant Financial, a global financial services firm, there was a 27% increase in the share of small business owners who were motivated to start their own business due to their dissatisfaction with corporate America. Many of them want to follow their own passions and find a greater deal of satisfaction and happiness.

In the recent Netflix feature " She Did That" this sentiment is proven especially showing that Black Women lead the entrepreneur movement at a greater rate than any other race or gender. "Women, especially Black women are leading the way and they are bootstrapping their businesses because they have limited resources and that's the importance of creating Be Your Own Boss" Williams states.
