Atlanta Curfew Extended Through Saturday, Earlier On Weekend

The city of Atlanta has issued a nightly curfew for rest of week, with an earlier start for the weekend.

ATLANTA, GA — Atlanta residents will have a nightly curfew the remainder of the week, announced the city on Wednesday. The curfew goes into effect at 9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday night.

On Friday and Saturday it will begin an hour earlier at 8 p.m.

The first curfew was ordered last Saturday by Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms after peaceful protests turned into a violent riot Friday night, injuring officers, damaging patrol vehicles and more.
