Atlanta Man Charged With Child Sexual Exploitation
The man was accused of communicating with a minor online in a sexually explicit way, authorities said.
ATLANTA, GA — A 38-year-old man accused of communicating online in a sexually explicit manner with a minor has been arrested, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation said Thursday.
The GBI said David Michael, of Atlanta, was arrested Tuesday and was charged on suspicion of sexual exploitation of children - obscene internet contract with a child.
His arrest is part of an ongoing probe into people accused of being involved in the child pornography trade, the GBI said.

The GBI's Child Exploitation and Computer Crimes Unit began investigating Michael's internet activity after receiving a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The tip said he had been explicitly speaking with a minor in a sexual manner.
With the assistance of the Georgia Tech Police Department, Michael was arrested and taken to the Fulton County Jail.

The GBI asks for anyone with information about other cases of alleged child exploitation to call the agency's Child Exploitation Unit, (404) 270-8870, or report the information to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children cyber tip line.
