Atlanta Man Convicted of Murdering Mom in Front of Her Children

Deunta Grier was sentenced to life in prison plus 15 years for killing Tiffany Bailey at a southwest Atlanta apartment.

Atlanta, GA -- An Atlanta man has been found guilty verdicts of killing a woman in front of her children in a southwest Atlanta apartment.

Deunta Grier, 26, was convicted of murder, cruelty to children and other charges.

On November 7, 2015, police responded to person shot call, and found Tiffany Bailey, 24, suffering from a gunshot wound to her left eye. Bailey's live-in boyfriend, Deunta Grier, and three young children were also located at the crime scene.

Grier told police that Bailey was shot during a home invasion. He admitted that he sold marijuana and because of that illegal business he became a target for robbery that night.

But police found evidence that turned their attention back to Grier. A friend of Grier's told police that Grier confessed to killing Bailey. Bailey's six-year-old daughter also told police that the couple were fighting when Grier killed Bailey.

Grier was sentenced to life in prison plus 15 years by Fulton County Superior Court Judge Ural Glanville.
