Atlanta Man Injured In Police Shooting With GSP: GBI
The man was accused of leading police on a chase, then shooting at them after crashing his car.
ATLANTA, GA — A man was injured Wednesday after investigators say he led troopers on a police chase and later shot at them after his car crashed in Atlanta.
According to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, the Georgia State Patrol attempted around 3:30 p.m. to stop a maroon Genesis on Interstate 20 east near Boulevard Avenue.
The GBI said Ramadan Saleem, 36, of Atlanta, was driving the Genesis erratically and refused to stop when troopers tried to conduct a traffic stop on the Genesis. Saleem was accused of fleeing from the troopers, exiting onto Boulevard before running a red light.
