Atlanta Mayor Opening COVID 19 Testing Center For City Workers

Atlanta Mayor Bottoms said 289 employees have tested for the coronavirus and there are currently 172 cases.

ATLANTA, GA — Atlanta’s city workers will soon have a new testing center to use. Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms announced Wednesday that it will open soon.

The new testing site, which opens Thursday, will be located across from Atlanta City Hall at their wellness center.

Bottoms said 289 employees have tested for the coronavirus and there are currently 172 cases. She said she hopes this new center will help bring the number of cases down.

“The city of Atlanta, as far as we know, as an organization, we have had a total of 289 people that have tested positive, we are aware of 172 current cases and we have had two deaths from COVID-19,” Bottoms said.
