Atlanta Mayor Tests Positive For COVID 19

Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance-Bottoms shared on Twitter that she had no symptoms and tested positive for the coronavirus.

ATLANTA, GA — Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance-Bottoms shared Monday afternoon on Twitter that she tested positive for COVID-19.

“COVID-19 has literally hit home. I have had NO symptoms and have tested positive,” she wrote on Twitter.

Georgia reported Monday another day of more than 1,500 confirmed cases of COVID-19.

The Georgia Department of Public Health reported a total of 97,064 confirmed cases of COVID-19 at 2:50 p.m. That's 1,584 more than was reported at the same time Sunday.

Georgia also reported 2,878 deaths from COVID-19, 18 more than reported Sunday. In addition, the state reported 11,919 hospitalizations and 2,441 admissions to intensive-care units.
