Atlanta School Board Fires Mays High School Coach
A tribunal says Corey Jarvis has been negligent and insubordinate.

ATLANTA, GA — The Atlanta Board of Education fired a former Mays High School football coach Tuesday night on charges that he mismanaged thousands of dollars belonging to the team and got into fights with parents and others.
Last month, according to the AJC, a tribunal found Corey Jarvis had neglected his job and been insubordinate. On Tuesday night, the school board voted 5-4 to fire him.
A school district investigation said more than $10,000 belonging to the football is missing, including more than $6,000 in football receipts recorded by Jarvis. Another $4,000 had reportedly been collected by him.
