Here are the top five stories in Atlanta today:

  1. A new study by Orkin shows Atlanta is one of the worst cities in the country for bedbug outbreaks. Atlanta ranked 16 out of the 20 listed in the report. Atlanta actually reduced its number of bedbug issues since the last report – it dropped two spots in the rankings. Chicago was named the worst city in the country for bedbugs, with New York coming in second. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
  2. While the $1.35 billion grand prize has yet to be won, people from Georgia ended up winners in the latest lottery drawing. On Tuesday night's Mega Millions drawing, four Georgians won $10,000. The tickets were sold at a CITGO, QuickTrip, supermarket, and convenience store. The winning tickets were sold in Alpharetta, Norcross, Cordele, and Murrayville. (WSB Atlanta)
  3. Researching homes for sale on the web can feel like a somewhat blind process. While listing images can help, they're no stand-in for the real thing. That's why open houses are so handy: No more guesswork involved! For all the house hunters in the Atlanta area, a list of the most-recent properties is available at the link, with information included on the next scheduled open house. Check out the addresses, photos, prices and bedroom/bath information for all properties listed. Happy hunting! (Atlanta Patch)
  4. Metro Atlanta has a large and vibrant Brazilian community. That means locals have the opportunity to experience a wide range of restaurants and bakeries which explore Brazilian flavors. You can find loaded pizzas, stew moqueca, and much more. The list at the link gives you eight of the best Brazilian restaurants in the Atlanta area – and what to order at each one. (Eater Atlanta)
  5. A Georgia Aquarium educational RV shut down the highway for a bit after it caught on fire. On Wednesday morning around 9:39 a.m., the the driver of the RV realized his vehicle was on fire as he drove eastbound on Interstate 285. The driver was able to escape the vehicle safely and lanes were reopened a little over an hour later. No animals were on the RV at the time of the incident. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
