Driver Arrested in Atlanta Pedestrian Fatality

ATLANTA, GA — Updated 1:45 pm — An arrest has been made in the death of a 61-year-old Atlanta woman who was killed after being struck by a car in downtown Thursday night.

Carolyn Teagle, 61, was hit at the intersection of Cleveland and Third avenues around 8:30 p.m., according to the AJC. She was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital and pronounced dead.

Police say the driver briefly stopped after the crash, then left the scene but returned about half an hour later.

On Friday afternoon, police said Jevon Cedric Little of Atlanta had been arrested on vehicular homicide and other related charges.
