Atlantans Among the Top Users of Popular Instagram Design Hashtag

A Look at the Design Hashtags Most Used in Atlanta

With its hundred of interior designers and home furnishing stores, it’s no secret that Atlanta has a strong sense of design style. But for those of us that aren’t quite so interior design savvy, social media is an extremely useful platform for sourcing design ideas. By gathering ideas from the countless beautiful room-scapes all over Instagram, we can all feel like interior designers. And with an estimated 95 million photos and videos being shared on Instagram each day, there's likely going to be a never ending dose of design inspiration amongst the steady stream of user content.

In a recent nationwide analysis of Instagram design hashtag usage, the custom furniture company Joybird was able to pinpoint which cities in the U.S. are most often expressing their design style on the social platform. They looked at the number of times popular design hashtags were used on a per capita basis to determine the 10 cities in which each hashtag was most frequently used. No surprise, Atlanta was all over the maps for almost all of the design hashtags that were analyzed.

Here’s where Atlanta ranked on the lists for various design hashtag usage:

The only hashtag Atlanta didn’t make the list for was #cottagestyle. Based on the hashtags Atlanta made the list for, it appears Atlantans prefer a more modern look when it comes to interior design, which is not surprising for such a large city.
