1. Atlanta's Night of Ideas has been set for May 14 at the Woodruff Arts Center. The event is through a partnership with the French Embassy and the Mayor's Office of Cultural Affairs. The event is a six-hour forum exchanging ideas, interests, and skills. (Reporter Newspapers)
2. Atlanta's City of Refuge has received a generous donation from Pepsi Stronger Together. The City of Refuge provides much-needed services to residents in crisis. The organization donated clothing and $20,000 in cash to support its important efforts. (WSB Atlanta)
3. An Atlanta-area woman has stunned Jeopardy! audiences by beating the champion by $1. The game came down to a final question centered around the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport — something Danielle Maurer of Peachtree Corners is personally familiar with. Maurer beat champion Mattea Roach by providing the correct answer and leapfrogging to first place with $15,600, which was $1 above Roach's $15,599. (11Alive.com WXIA)
