Attackers On Scooters Shoot Man On Peachtree

ATLANTA, GA — Four people, including two on scooters and one on a bicycle, shot a man outside a restaurant on Peachtree Street in downtown Atlanta Tuesday night.

According to Atlanta Police Department spokesman Officer Jarius Daugherty, officers were called at about 10:32 p.m. to Yumm Teriyaki at 87 Peachtree St. There, they found a man who had been shot in the leg and chest.

Investigators learned that four men — two on scooters, one on a bicycle and one on foot — had approached the man outside the restaurant. Shots were fired and the men ran away.

Daugherty said it appears the man who was on foot fired the shots. The victim was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition.

Daugherty said investigators on Wednesday were looking for video recordings that may exist of the shooting.
