Avoid Construction Scammers by Working with Trusted NARI Members
Homeowners with storm damage can easily fall prey to scammers. NARI Atlanta members are trusted, licensed remodeling professionals.

Recent severe weather damaged homes throughout the greater Atlanta area, especially in Haralson and South Fulton Counties. Making matters even worse for the affected homeowners, scammers and con artists are showing up with false promises of quick repairs, taking advantage of storm victims. The Atlanta chapter of NARI, the National Association of the Remodeling Industry, has words of advice for homeowners needing home repair, construction or remodeling.
“It’s simple. Hire a NARI Atlanta member to ensure you are contracting with a licensed, reputable home remodeling or construction professional,” says Jesse Morado, executive director of NARI Atlanta. “All NARI Atlanta members adhere to a professional Code of Ethics and many hold numerous certifications and access continuing educational opportunities to keep abreast of the latest construction materials and techniques. Our local chapter is one of the most active chapters in the nation, and homeowners can easily find a list of members at www.nariatlanta.org. It’s unfortunate that there are transient unethical contractors that immediately come into a neighborhood like Chestnut Ridge in Fairburn to take advantage of people who are hurting. It is important that homeowners know about NARI and the high level of professionalism our members exhibit day in and day out.”
NARI Atlanta is a non-profit association committed exclusively to the service of the professional remodeling industry. Members of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry include remodelers, product manufacturers, suppliers, specialty contractors, designers, and associates. In addition to awards programs recognizing the highest quality remodeling projects, one of the organization’s most popular public activities is the annual NARI Atlanta Tour of Remodeled Homes. www.nariatlanta.org
