Bank Robber At Large After Being Caught on Camera: Police

He fled after grabbing cash from teller, says the Atlanta Police Department.

ATLANTA, GA — The Atlanta Police Department released surveillance photos Tuesday, through Crime Stoppers Greater Atlanta, of a man who robbed a bank on Piedmont Avenue.

At about 3:13 p.m. Monday, the unidentified man entered the Chase Bank branch at 595 Piedmont Ave. NE and passed a hand-written demand note to a teller, the police said.

After seizing "an undetermined amount of paper bills," the robber fled the scene in an unknown direction, the police said. They released two photos of the robber Tuesday on the Crime Stoppers Facebook page.

Police describe the bank robber as a male, white Hispanic, with a light complexion and a mustache and stubble beard. Hs age is 26 to 40 with a medium build and about 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches in height.

The bank robber was wearing dark-colored pants and a gray long-sleeved shirt with vertical black stripes from the front collar down to the inner sleeves. The shirt also has white horizontal stripes on the sleeves and two front pockets, the police said.

In addition, the suspect wore a leopard-pattern winter knit hat with green trim and a red decorative ball sewn on the top.
