Barack Obama In Atlanta Friday To Stump For Stacey Abrams, Dems
The former president was an early supporter of Stacey Abrams, and now he's making a campaign appearance on Friday.

ATLANTA, GA -- Former president Barack Obama will be in Atlanta on Friday, Nov. 2, to campaign for gubernatorial hopeful Stacey Abrams and other Democrats on Georgia ballots in next Tuesday's midterm elections. According to the Georgia Democratic Party, Obama will appear at Forbes Arena on the campus of Morehouse College beginning at 5 pm.
Abrams is seeking to become the nation's first African-American female governor in history on Nov. 6. Abrams, who was endorsed by Obama earlier this year, is running against Republican Brian Kemp in what is arguably the nation's most watched governor's election this fall.
More than 1 million ballots have already been cast in a race that national Democrats hope will become a swing state, as the nation's midterm elections are widely being seen as a referendum on President Trump's White House administration.

Early voting throughout the state ends Friday, Nov. 2. Kemp has already been endorsed by President Trump, and Vice President Mike Pence, according to multiple reports, is set to campaign for Kemp outside of metro Atlanta sometime this week.
Obama has also endorsed Sarah Riggs Amico in her campaign for lieutenant governor, as well as Lucy McBath and Carolyn Bourdeaux in metro Atlanta's 6th and 7th congressional districts, respectively.
