The Bert Show Sends a BIG Message to Tyler Perry in Hometown
Atlanta Radio Show Provides Billboard Spoof Wishing Perry a Great Weekend

The Bert Show, a nationally syndicated morning radio show based in Atlanta, Georgia, shared some well wishes this past Thursday to actor, filmmaker and comedian, Tyler Perry, in a fun way. During a segment of the show on June 6, co-host Davi Crimmins had a spontaneous idea to create a spoof in response to Perry’s recent Facebook post addressing actress, Racquel Bailey, where Bailey requested a ‘leading role’ from Perry via advertisement.
"Can you imagine what it's like to be Tyler Perry?,” said Crimmins. She goes on to explain, “You're always getting emails, and you're always getting texts. . .my cousin wants to get into acting, put him in something. . .like harassment. Now, you're getting billboards. I just want to rent out a billboard that says, ‘Hey Tyler Perry, have a good weekend.’ ”
The show wasted no time in making this vision come to life. Within just a couple of hours, the team ran with the idea and had three billboards up all across the south side of the city, near Tyler Perry Studios. The billboard read, “Hey Tyler Perry - Don’t need a job. Just wanted to tell you to have a great weekend. Love, The Bert Show.”
