Best Companies To Work For: Georgia Businesses On Fortune's List
Four companies headquartered in Georgia snagged spots on Fortune's Best Companies To Work For list in 2018.

ATLANTA, GA — From all-expense-paid trips to enormous bonuses, great perks and benefits, these companies are the best to work for in the United States. Fortune just released its 2018 list of 100 Best Companies To Work For, and four Georgia-based companies snagged a spot.
The No. 1 company on the list was Salesforce, which Fortune credits for forging an “unusual corporate culture from the beginning.” Salesforce has paid out $5.5 million to employees who have referred new hires and they help strong performers find new challenges.
The grocery chain Wegmans was No. 2 on the list. Fortune says employees at the company find the work fulfilling and it gives them a sense of purpose.

Georgia's highest-ranking employer is Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, which came in at No. 77 nationwide, down from the No. 56 spot a year ago. "For most of us,” says one employee, “this is our calling, not our job.” The mission is front and center at this pediatric health care organization, where staffers can “make a difference in the life of a child each day." Because it can get stressful, perks include massages, childcare, and a concierge service for tasks like dry cleaning, Fortune says.
And as much as air travelers like to complain about carriers, No. 98-ranked Delta Air Lines based in Atlanta earns praise from its employees, although it slid from last year's No. 63 ranking. "Delta takes care of its people, and we take care of Delta,” say staffers at the airline, according to Fortune. That reciprocal atmosphere can be seen in the form of the industry’s “richest” profit-sharing and rewards program [with nearly $5 billion in payouts over the past five years]. Luxe worker travel benefits “cement that we matter."
