Biden In Atlanta: President To Speak At Ebenezer For King's Birthday
Rev. Dr. Raphael Warnock will give the 9 a.m. sermon while President Joe Biden will give the 11 a.m. address.
ATLANTA, GA — Guests of Ebenezer Baptist Church are slated to get a visit from the nation's top official in honor of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, according to the church.
President Joe Biden is set to speak at 11 a.m. Sunday at Ebenezer, 101 Jackson St., according to a flier on the church's Facebook page. King's birthday is Jan. 15, but MLK Day is being recognized nationally on Monday, Jan. 16.
Rev. Dr. Raphael Warnock, a U.S. senator and senior pastor at Ebenezer, invited Biden to speak, according to the church. Warnock's sermon is being held at 9 a.m.

Ebenezer is the former church of King, who served as co-pastor alongside his father from 1960 until his assassination in 1968.
According to Fox 5 Atlanta, Biden's visit will be his first since a year ago when he visited the Atlanta University Center to speak on voting reform.

His trip to Atlanta comes a little more than a month after Warnock wins the U.S. Senate runoff Dec. 6, 2022, to start his first six-year term.
