'The Blind Side' Star On Life Support In Atlanta
Quinton Aaron, who starred as a former NFL player in "The Blind Side," was reportedly taken to a hospital after falling at his Atlanta home.
Quinton Aaron, the 41-year-old actor who starred as former NFL player Michael Oher in "The Blind Side," is reportedly on life support at an Atlanta hospital.
According to a GoFundMe from Veterans Aid Network, Aaron has opened his eyes but remains hospitalized "due to a severe blood infection."
He was taken to the hospital after recently falling at his Atlanta home, WXIA-TV reported.

Aaron's wife told TMZ he experienced neck and back pain before the collapse on his stairs.
"This has been sudden, frightening and overwhelming for his loved ones. As he fights for his life, his family is facing an immense emotional and financial burden — including mounting medical-related expenses, ongoing living costs and the uncertainty of how long this road to recovery may be," Veterans Aid wrote in the GoFundMe.

In an update posted Monday, the network said it is helping Aaron at his wife's request because he comes from a veteran family.
Aaron himself is not a veteran, according to the network, but he is a mainstream actor who has appeared in "War Dawgz" and "Law and Order: Special Victims Unit."
Though some feeling returned to his foot, and his eyes have opened, organizers wrote he remains on life support while he undergoes testing.
"We are looking at quite a recovery time and will need a wheelchair when he is released while he goes through therapy to walk again. Thank you to all of you for your support and prayers," GoFundMe organizers wrote in an update.
The GoFundMe has surpassed its $35,000 goal.
