Bob Marley's Three Little Birds Opens at Synchronicity February 1

Family-friendly musical to feature music by reggae-legend Bob Marley.

Synchronicity Theatre will produce Bob Marley’s Three Little Birds, written by the late reggae legend’s eldest daughter, Cedella, February 1 – 24, 2019. The musical, based on Cedella’s children’s book, Three Little Birds, includes the songs “Three Little Birds,” “Jamming,” “Roots Rock Reggae,” “I Shot the Sheriff,” “Is This Love,” and others, and is recommended for children ages three and up. For tickets or more information, please visit synchrotheatre.com or call 404-484-8636.

The story centers on Ziggy (Patrick Coleman), a shy Jamaican child who hides from his fears -- hurricanes, mongooses and evil spirits -- at home, watching TV. A bird, his mom and his nagging neighbor coax him out to face his demons and enjoy life. Cedella Marley’s story brings, "a little bit of Jamaica to kids who probably never heard of it," and shares Bob Marley’s message of peace and love with a new generation of songbirds.

Bob Marley’s Three Little Birds is directed by Taryn Carmona, and will feature music direction by S. Renee Clark and choreography by Jenise Cook. The cast includes Atlanta-based actors Patrick Coleman as Ziggy, Jessenia Ingram as Nansi, Jaymyria Etienne as Cedella, Greg Hunter as Duppy, Vallea Woodbury as Tacoomah, and Sterling McClary as Dr. Bird.
