Boy, 9, Dies In Atlanta Hit-and-Run

ATLANTA, GA — A 9-year-old boy is dead after being hit by a car Tuesday evening, according to the Atlanta Police Department.

The accident occurred around 6:30 p.m. in the 300 block of Cleveland Avenue. Police said the boy was a pedestrian.

He was taken to the hospital in critical condition but died at the hospital, police said.

The car fled the scene, police said. No description of the car was given.

The boy's identity is unknown.
