Busy Downtown Intersection Closing For Sewer Work

ATLANTA, GA — A busy intersection in downtown Atlanta's business and tourism district will be closed overnight Monday and Tuesday as crews work on a sewer line there.

The work is happening at the intersection of Edgewood Avenue and Peachtree Center Avenue. The intersection will be closed 11 p.m.-6 a.m. on Monday and Tuesday, according to the City of Atlanta Department of Watershed Management.

The intersection is near Hurt Park and just north of Georgia State University's downtown campus.

Crews will be rehabbing a sewer line there. Traffic control measures will be in place to to guide drivers around the work zone. Motorists are urged to use caution and avoid the area if possible.
