Fox Theatre CFO William Renshaw Earns Lifetime Achievement Honor from Atlanta Business Chronicle

The Fox Theatre announced that William J. Renshaw, vice president and chief financial officer, has been named the Lifetime Achievement Award winner in the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s 2026 CFO of the Year Awards. The honor recognizes more than three decades of financial leadership and lasting impact across nonprofit and for-profit sectors.

Renshaw joined the Fox Theatre in 2016 as director of finance and was promoted to his current role in 2019. As a member of the executive leadership team, he oversees the organization’s financial strategy and operations, helping guide one of Atlanta’s most recognized nonprofit arts institutions through a period of growth and industrywide challenges.

Among his many contributions, Renshaw led the Fox Theatre’s COVID-19 relief and grant funding strategy, securing critical government support during a period with no earned revenue. His leadership helped safeguard employees, stabilize operations and position the organization for long-term recovery. The result has been sustained revenue growth and disciplined cost management.

The Fox Theatre ranks among the top-performing venues nationally. In 2024, the venue was named the No. 1 highest-grossing theater in the world in the 2,501–5,000-seat category by Billboard. During its 2024–25 fiscal year, the Fox hosted more than 200 public performances, sold 781,000 tickets and welcomed more than 580,000 guests.

Renshaw will be honored alongside fellow recipients at the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s CFO of the Year Awards ceremony on May 21 at the Georgia Aquarium. Honorees are selected through an independent editorial process based on achievement, leadership and community impact.
