Mother’s Day at Sweet Georgia’s Juke Joint brings together Southern food, cocktails, and live music to mark the occasion. On Sunday, May 10, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., brunch includes a live performance by Regina Troupe, whose career spans decades and includes work with artists such as Peabo Bryson, Celine Dion, and Patti Austin. She has also released original music that has charted internationally. Her set adds a sense of occasion and sets the tone for the celebration. The menu reflects a mix of newer additions and long-standing favorites. Dishes like red wine braised short rib hash, banana foster French toast, shrimp and eggs, and pork chop and eggs sit alongside staples including chicken and waffles, catfish and grits, and the Southern starter with fried green tomatoes, okra, and crispy onions. Cocktails stay in step with the occasion. Endless mimosas remain a draw, joined by the return of fan favorite, the Color Purple, house signatures like the Sweet Georgia Peach-Tini, Moonshine Mule, Juke Lemonade, and a range of classic pours with a Southern edge. Located inside the historic former Macy’s building on Peachtree Street, Sweet Georgia’s Juke Joint has been part of Downtown Atlanta’s dining and music landscape since 2011. Imagine running a show when all of your stars are birds!
Become a Trainer for a Day at the World of Wild Theater presented by Georgia Natural Gas, and see firsthand how training is used to care for and connect guests to the birds while participating in the Fantastic Flights presentation!
Work alongside the Ambassador Animals Team to experience how these feathered friends showcase their unique adaptations in these presentations and learn about the positive reinforcement training that ensures that all of the birds are participating voluntarily. This behind-the-scenes look at Fantastic Flights and its amazing participants will give you a greater appreciation for the term “bird brain” and the important relationships between the birds and their care team. Participants can expect to meet members of the Animal Care Team, meet an animal, learn about our positive reinforcement training and enrichment programs, and walk away with knowledge of how to save species. All participation in Keeper for a Day programs is voluntary for the animals.
Before registering, please understand that during this program: 
<ul>
 <li>Participants will perform similar tasks as members of the Ambassador Animals Team, which may include raking, sweeping, hosing, scrubbing, and shoveling, and should expect to do some hard work and be comfortable getting dirty. </li>
 <li>Participants will be expected to participate in all weather conditions, lift up to 30 pounds, and be on their feet for up to four hours. </li>
 <li>Participants must have the physical ability to bend, lift, stoop, kneel, and stand for extended periods of time. </li>
 <li>Participants may be exposed to potential allergens such as insects, hay, animal waste, and other potential allergens. Please reach out in advance if you have any questions or concerns. </li>

Woodruff Arts Center

Woodruff Arts Center has opened its doors to showcase a vibrant new exhibit from InCommunity in the second-floor lobby of the Goizueta Stage for Youth &amp; Families. This inspiring collection highlights the creativity and talent of artists from InCommunity’s day programs which invites visitors to experience bold colors, powerful stories, and truly limitless expression. 
InCommunity is a nonprofitbased in Atlanta that provides meaningful, community-based support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities so they can live safe, healthy, and joyful lives. 
Titled “Limitless”—in tandem with InCommunity’s upcoming Limitless Gala on May 16—the exhibit features 21 curated pieces created by artists from InCommunity’s Art &amp; Food day program in Marietta and Unlimited Possibilities Center in Roswell. The artwork debuted during the Woodruff Arts Center’s ribbon-cutting celebration and was enjoyed by donors and staff.
With guidance from art teachers, the collection was thoughtfully selected based on color palette, subject matter, and artistic quality. The exhibit also includes artist profiles highlighting each contributor’s background and creative inspiration.
The “Limitless” exhibit will remain on display through the end of May.
Come experience the creativity and talent of these remarkable artists—because their potential truly is limitless.
