Living Legends: A Southwest Atlanta Homecoming is a Juneteenth festival rooted in the spirit of Campbellton Road — where families gather, stories are shared and the people who helped build the block finally get their flowers.
On Friday, June 19, 2026, The Junction at the Mary Parker Foundation will become a place for every generation to pull up, reconnect and celebrate. Guests can enjoy a BBQ Cook-Off featuring Southside pitmasters, the Same T-Shirt Family Photo Challenge, a Big Kids Zone & Field Day, one of Atlanta’s largest water balloon fights, live music, line dancing, poetry, a vendor village and family-friendly showcases.
The day will culminate with the Living Legends honors ceremony, celebrating Southwest Atlanta elders and community builders whose service continues to shape the community, including 2026 honorees Henrietta Antonin, The Honorable Penny Brown Reynolds and George Brathwaite.
Come hungry. Bring your family, your neighbors, your lawn chair and your dancing shoes. This is Juneteenth on Campbellton Road — a day to honor the past, celebrate the future and make new memories together.
