Hammonds House Museum presents an artist talk with Steve R. Allen moderated by Tisha Smith

Presented in conjunction with his dual exhibitions, Infinite Inheritance and O Jogo Bonito (The Beautiful Game) this engaging conversation explores Black identity, spirituality, cultural continuity and the limitless possibilities of Black futures.
Infinite Inheritance features the artist's distinct "Fractal Afro Futuristic" visual language. Through intricate patterns, repeating forms, and symbolic color systems and metallic surfaces Allen constructs visual environments rooted in transformation, interconnection, and elevation. Sacred geometry and coded symbolism operate as pathways to deeper narratives surrounding Black cultural memory.
O Jogo Bonito (The Beautiful Game) celebrates Black visibility and achievement through imagery inspired by international athletics, including his artwork for the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta and the World Cup. Sport becomes a metaphor for resilience, discipline, and infinity possibility.
