FREE Back to School Event for Atlanta Youth — Hairstyling, Books & Giveaways | July 31

Children Lives Matter and Beauty & Brains are hosting a FREE Annual Back to School Event for Atlanta youth and families on Thursday, July 31, 2026 from 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM at The Supermarket ATL.

Every child receives FREE professional hairstyling by licensed stylists, literacy enrichment through ReadQuest Kids (a Science of Reading-aligned, forever free literacy app), and back to school supply giveaways.

This event was created for families in Title I communities across Atlanta — but ALL are welcome. No registration fee. No cost. Just a community coming together to celebrate our kids before the new school year begins.

Founded by Darona Dancy, a special education educator with 15 years of classroom experience, Children Lives Matter is committed to literacy equity and whole-child wellness for underserved youth across the country.
