Casting for Recovery Georgia (CfR) and SweetWater Brewing Company are bringing together breast cancer survivors, supporters and the fly-fishing community Thursday, Oct. 1, for the launch of a new special brew "Hooked on Hope" and an evening of food, films, fun and community.
Created with help from CfR Georgia participants, the new brew launches Oct. 1 and will be available throughout October, with a portion of proceeds benefiting CfR Georgia's free, oncology-informed fly-fishing retreats for women at any stage of breast cancer treatment or recovery.
About 70% of women who attend a CfR retreat have never participated in a support group. The retreats give women an opportunity to connect with others who understand their experiences while spending time outdoors and learning fly fishing.
The celebration will feature raffle prizes, community partners, a film screening and opportunities to connect with the women behind CfR Georgia's mission.
Join Casting for Recovery Georgia and SweetWater Brewing Company for the brew launch and family-friendly community celebration from 4:20-6:30 p.m. followed by Fly Fishing Film Tour (F3T) in SweetWater's Reel Room from 7–9 p.m.
