Carrington Academy® Preschoolers Release Ladybugs for Earth Day

Students celebrated Earth Day and protecting the environment by releasing thousands of beneficial bugs into their schoolyard

On April 22, students at Carrington Academy Preschools in Alpharetta, Cumming and Suwanee bugged out in celebration of Earth Day as they released ladybugs throughout the schoolyard and back into the environment on plants, flowers, and trees. Students also participated in various eco-themed activities and crafts.

Leading up to Earth Day, students learned that ladybugs serve as a natural pesticide by feeding on insects that could otherwise harm the health of gardens, trees, and shrubs. Carrington Academy Preschool teaches the importance of caring for the Earth and exploring nature at an early age.
