Casting Call Open In Atlanta For Aretha Franklin Biopic 'Respect'
Producers are casting for two men of Middle Eastern background for the new Aretha biopic "Respect," starring Jennifer Hudson.
ATLANTA, GA – A casting call has been put out for two men of Middle Eastern background for the new Aretha Franklin biopic “Respect,” starring Academy Award winner Jennifer Hudson. Producers for Marinella Hume Casting are seeking to fill the role for a “doorman” and another for “concierge."
The scenes take place during the 1950s and 1960s. The actors must be available for the fitting on Jan. 8, and available to film the scene on Jan. 9.
For the role of doorman, you must fit a size 40 coat, and a 32/29 pant, and be between ages 24-50.
For the role of concierge, you must fit a size 36 jacket, and 31/30 pants.

Men must be cleanly shaved for the role, and not have shoulder length hair. A full list of requirements are listed on the company’s Facebook page.

Other stars who will appear along Hudson are Marlon Wayans, Forrest Whitaker, Audra McDonald, Titus Burges, and Grammy Award winner Mary J. Blige.
According to Hudson's Instagram page, filming has already begun at the Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta.
