Catoosa Co. Cheerleading Coach Arrested On Molestation Charges

CATOOSA COUNTY, GA — A cheerleading coach has been arrested on charges of child molestation, the Catoosa County Sheriff's Office announced.

James Everett Sisson, 49, was arrested after investigators found evidence he had "inappropriate contact" with a juvenile girl, the sheriff's office said. Sisson also faces charges of criminal attempt.

Sisson worked as a cheerleading coach with Culprit Athletics and has also been known to work at Hot Shots (formerly Crush), Sheriff Gary Sisk said. Sisson is not employed by the Catoosa County school district.

"Sisson is known to work with young students to coach them with cheerleading and tumbling exercise skills," the sheriff's office said in a Facebook post.
