The LIFE School's Mikala Streeter Joins Civic Innovation Residency Program

The Center for Civic Innovation and Sara Blakely, founder and CEO of Spanx, recently announced the newest members of CCI's Civic Innovation Residency Program. The group includes Mikala Streeter, founder and principal of The LIFE School, a progressive high school in Atlanta's west side where each student works through a custom, project-based learning plan designed around their learning styles, interests, and goals.

The one-year intensive program aims to strengthen the operations and leadership of eight entrepreneurs with proven ideas that tackle challenges in the social sector. Each woman will receive capital to support their salary, health care, and product development, in addition to classes, coaching, mentorship, and work space in the center's office in south downtown Atlanta.
