Dad Charged With Murder In Stabbing Of 4-Year-Old Daughter: Reports
The girl, who suffered multiple lacerations, was taken to a hospital but later died, according to police.
ATLANTA — An Atlanta father is charged with the murder of his 4-year-old daughter after she was found by police suffering from multiple lacerations, according to law enforcement and media reports.
Authorities on Sunday obtained arrest warrants for 34-year-old Rashad Dixon on charges of murder, aggravated assault, aggravated battery, first-degree cruelty to children, possession of a knife during the commission of a felony, false imprisonment, two counts of criminal property damage and simple assault, police said.
FOX 5 reported the girl’s name was Zuri Dixon, and confirmed she was the man’s daughter, citing family members.

Officers responded around 11:30 p.m. Saturday to the 1900 block of Alison Court Southwest for a call about an injured person related to a domestic dispute, according to police. They arrived to find the girl suffering from lacerations, but were able to retrieve the child from Dixon using de-escalation tactics, police said.
The girl was taken to a hospital but later died, according to police, who said Dixon was also suffering from lacerations and was taken into custody and brought to a hospital for treatment.
