Deadly I-20 Crash Investigated In Fulton

ATLANTA, GA — A male is dead after police say he was hit by two vehicles while crossing the highway around 2:45 a.m. Wednesday morning on Interstate 20 east.

Atlanta Police said the male, who was not identified by name or age, was crossing I-20 at the Interstate 75/85 expressway ramp when he was hit by the first vehicle. The driver did not remain at the scene, police said.

Then, a second vehicle hit the male. This time, police said the driver called 911 and stayed on the scene.

When officers arrived, police said they found the male laying in the roadway. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Police have not released a description of the first vehicle.

The APD Accident Investigations Unit is overseeing the probe into the crash.
