ATLANTA, GA — The death penalty trial for a man accused of killing eight people at massage spas in Cherokee County and Atlanta in March 2021 was delayed Thursday, Atlanta News First reported.
Robert Aaron Long is accused of killing four people at Young’s Asian Massage in Cherokee County and four people at two Atlanta spas, the outlet reported, adding six victims were Asian American women.
According to Atlanta News First, attorneys both for the prosecution and defense said they needed more preparation time due to a new Supreme Court decision on expert testimony.

Long was previously sentenced in Cherokee County to four life sentences without the possibility of parole plus 35 years, the outlet reported.
A status hearing in Atlanta was set for Jan. 5, 2023.
