'Death Squad' Found Guilty in Shooting of Target Manager: DA
The three defendants were part of a burglary ring that committed more than 100 break-ins in Fulton County, say prosecutors.

ATLANTA, GA — A Fulton County jury on Thursday found three members of a burglary ring guilty of murder in the 2013 shooting of a Target store manager in her own home, according to the county's top prosecutor.
Jonathan Banks, James Sims and James Calhoun, whom prosecutors dubbed the "Death Squad," were found guilty of murder, felony murder, burglary in the first and related charges, District Attorney Paul Howard Jr. announced.
Prosecutors said that Banks, Sims and Calhoun were part of a crew that committed more than 100 burglaries in South Fulton County and at least one other shooting. The murder victim, Pamela Williams, was a corporate store manager at the Target on Camp Creek Parkway in Fulton.

On Nov. 30, 2013, Williams called 911 during an apparent break-in at her home in the Amhurst subdivision, prosecutors said. She told the 911 operator she was hiding in her closet.
When Fulton County police arrived at her home, they found the 43-year-old with a single gunshot wound to her head. "She was shot at point blank range and she died days later, as a result of those injuries," prosecutors said in a statement,

Williams was "a beloved member of the community," prosecutors said, and her neighbors and colleagues raised more than $15,000 for information leading to an arrest. The Fulton police quickly developed leads in the case that led to the arrests of Banks, Sims and Calhoun two weeks later.
Banks, Calhoun and Sims will be sentenced at a later date by Fulton County Superior Court Judge Tom Campbell.
