Delta Flight Diverted Over Unruly Passenger

Delta Air Lines Flight 1156 was heading from Portland, Oregon, to Atlanta on Wednesday when it was diverted, officials say.

ATLANTA, GA — A Delta Air Lines flight from Portland to Atlanta was diverted on Wednesday after a passenger became unruly.

Delta Flight 1156 left Portland, Oregon at 6 a.m. on Wednesday, according to airline tracking site FlightAware. It was heading to Atlanta, but was diverted to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where it took off again around 12:45 p.m. local time and was scheduled to arrive in Atlanta around 2:21 p.m.

According to Atlanta-based Delta, the flight was diverted because of an unruly passenger on board. The Boeing 737 landed without incident in Tulsa and the customer was met at the gate by law enforcement officers.
